Pat did an amazing job hand piecing this quilt using the English Paper piecing method. Her intricate fussy cutting of the pieces just makes you want to look, look again and then look some more at the resulting designs.
Jeff then completed it with his wonderful quilting. He used his Gammill longarm machine - perfectly placing the designs to compliment the quilt - adding yet another dimension to it.
After all that fine work, it is no wonder that (to date) it has won two prizes:
- Quilt Tulsa 2016, First Place (Master, large pieced, two person)
- NACQJ Award of merit.
- Quilt Tulsa 2016, First Place (Master, large pieced, two person)
- NACQJ Award of merit.
Well done to you both - this quilt is such a joy!
!!!!!! Latest news - it has been accepted into the AQS in Des Moines, Iowa - another great honour.
Best news of all - it got an Honourable Mention ribbon at Paducah 2017.
