Jill set Carol quite a challenge with this quilt - there was applique, piecing and all manner of differently proportioned sashes to fit all the elements together.
Carol used a single border design, holding it all together. For the sashes she was able to use the same design there as well - but just different multiples, depending on the sash proportions. This was another element which kept some organisation to the quilting. After that there was a lot of freemotion and arc work, along with a few little p2p triangles tucked in there from place to place.
