Margaret's quilt is an absolute delight for those who like purple. There is the whole range - light mediums and darks, as well as plains and prints. Then - to set it off she has the white background, purpler framing and a final white border.

Sue has added to the beauty of it all by carefully choosing patterns - especially with her choice of the pattern to go into the star arms. She needed one which would work well in the very centre.This is the area which is often a little challenging for the quilter - but what Sue has done here has worked a treat.<br>

The other thing Sue had to consider was the size of the star arms. They could not be completed in one pass - so that is another reason for her choice of the Swirls pattern she used.
