Greener Grass
Sharon PerryI fell in love with the green fabrics, and knew that I was wanting to get together a quick Patchwork Pattern for my friend's new shop. This seemed like the perfect opportunity.
They are very large squares - cut at 4.5inches. The sashing is quite wide too.
I had Sassy in mind - for the sashing and the squares. I started quilting the sashes. After the first sash was sewn - I paused the machine. I was not happy with it. So what did I do? I started the machine again, thinking more would help. It did not! So - unpicking was done. I just loved that pattern! (I have put a photo in at the end to show you how wonderful it was - everyone agreed with me - it was wonderful - just not on that quilt!)
I sat down, drew and digitised another pattern. I did all sorts of crazy things with that pattern to start - running the machine in an order which I just should not have - it took me three goes to get it right. In the end - I was really really happy with it.
Now - to finalise the patchwork pattern. It took just 6 fat quarters (plus sashing and binding).
