Shirley had a lot of scraps and decided on a Jewel Box quilt. The first one she did with a cream background - but this one she decided on a black background to really highlight the wonderful bright colours.
Using a p2p pattern in the sashes meant that Sue could travel a long way across the machine bed with minimal tie-offs. There are many patterns in the 'Elongated Hexagon' type designs, but this was one with nice clean lines.
