Ineke had categorized herself as a 'beginner' when she made this quilt! What a wonderful quilt for a beginner to make - truly stunning.
She says 'Each block is slightly different. When the eight triangles become a block, it's like magic' - and it is a wonderful example of a two tone quilt.
Sue completed the composition wonderfully with her choice of designs and thread. Using the gold thread in the outer border has melded everything together.
Even though Sue only used 3 quilting patterns - it looks a lot more complex than that. Take a close look at how the different aspects of the design sit nicely in their own little areas.
