Carol knew how she wanted to have this quilt quilted - like in the book!
Nice free-motion quilting - up the light and the dark paths.
The trouble was that Sue did not really want to do this type of free-motion quilting.
Solution: create a design to look as if it was free-motion quilted.
Problem: where on earth were the 'blocks' to do the design to and make life simple for Sue?
Solution: fall back on the p2psu technique. But this was 'point to point set up' with a difference! The registration points were not where the block would sew to and from, but the blocks would actually sew continuously - one to the other.
Understand? - words by themselves are sometimes so difficult!
