Another quilt made for the enjoyment of it.
I have made several variations of this block and enjoyed it each time.
This time the colour palate was severely restricted.
I decided to be bold with the quilting - using a double thickness of the brightest red thread I could, and a rayon one at that to give it extra shine.
After it was finished there came a day when I knew just who it was for: my new prospective daughter-in-law. I was sent a photo of her kitchen - very crisp, with a bright red mixer on the bench. I thought this quilt just might help keep her cuddled up until the wedding!
