Natalie's Quilt
Natalie's Stitching GroupSharon Siacci
traditional adaptation by Sharon Perry - pattern to come
69" x 81"
Natalie was not feeling too well, and had got most of the way through (another) 4 patch block swap when she donated them to a very new group member.
The group decided to make a quilt for her and so 'her' blocks were the donated back to the group who set to and made this fantastic quilt.
The quilting pattern 'Monique' was considered appropriate to use. The hearts conveyed messages of love from each of us to her, and it was a pattern that Monique from our group had inspired.
In this quilt, some of the 4 patch blocks were replaced with hearts so that we could each put our signature on the front.
There is not any triangle piecing in the patchwork - the star points are all done using a stitch and flip technique. This proved a great hit with the group.
The quilt has been made a couple of more times by other group members - photos (hopefully) coming soon!
(ps please remember to take photos of your quilts!!)
